Soap Making Class-Financial Freedom From Abuse
As part of our empowerment program for girls and marginalized groups, we held a free soap making class to equip these groups to be financially independent.
It’s been shown that particular groups of women, including women and girls living in poverty, face multiple forms of discrimination, and face increased risks of violence as a result. These poor girls are 2.5 times more likely to marry in childhood than those living in the wealthiest quintile. Women and girls are sexually violated in exchange for money and goods for survival in Ghana. Moreso for other marginalized groups in Ghana.
This is why this program is dear to the VOIICE Foundation and should be important to you too.
There were 26 trainees and Jovia Konama Kumi was the Trainer for this session.
